About the Event

To promote the comprehensive development of the Internet in Taiwan and to enhance its technological innovation and application diversity, our center is launching a public call for proposals related to Internet initiatives. Through this call, we aim to encourage the submission of forward-looking, practical, and feasible proposals from all sectors. Together, we hope to improve the overall convenience and security of the Internet environment. We warmly welcome all organizations committed to the advancement of Internet development to participate actively and share their innovative ideas, contributing to a healthier and more progressive Internet ecosystem in Taiwan.

Application Period From now until September 30, 2026

The call for proposals is divided into three key topics related to Internet development. Applicants may submit their proposals based on the topic most relevant to their project.

1. Internet Policy Research

Conduct in-depth research and discussion on current Internet policies or Internet governance policies, and propose necessary amendments and recommendations for improvement, with the goal of establishing a more comprehensive and secure policy-making framework for the Internet.

2. Internet Technology

Focus on the research and development of current Internet technologies to enhance their convenience, ubiquity, or sustainability in relation to network security, thereby improving the operational security of the Internet and promoting the widespread adoption of network applications.

3. Digital Equality and Opportunity

Address the current state of the digital divide in rural areas or among disadvantaged groups within the country by implementing relevant improvement and promotion projects, enabling them to enhance their digital resources and capabilities, seize digital opportunities, and leverage these resources to create new possibilities.

Since 2001, TWNIC has held the annual ".tw Charity Campaign" to give back to society and help bridge the digital divide, by providing subsidies to public welfare organizations for charitable purposes.

Since 2024, TWNIC has significantly expanded the scale of its grant program, progressing from a single initial topic to a diverse range of internet-related issues. Subsequently, these topics were further refined into three focused areas. This strategic shift not only ensures that the applied project proposals align more closely with the core objectives of the program, but also broadens the overall inclusivity of the call for proposals. Through this structural optimization, we aspire to enable more outstanding projects to successfully launch, working together to build a fairer, safer, and better internet world.
